About
MEET ANNIE
Yoga has been part of my life since 2013.
What began as a way to support my training as a Division I cross country athlete at Baylor University became a practice that continues to shape how I move through life and how I teach. Yoga helped me build strength, recover with intention, and find mindfulness
I earned my RYT-200 certification from Black Swan Yoga in Austin, TX, in 2021. Since launching Asana with Annie in Waco, TX, I’ve had the opportunity to teach beginners, athletes, and professionals in a variety of settings—from group classes and studios to outdoor experiences and special events. My approach is thoughtful, intuitive, and rooted in intentional movement, evidence-based practices, and confidence-building.
Today, I create yoga events + experiences that invite people to move with intention, find presence, and connect with themselves, each other, and nature.
Outside of yoga, I’m a REALTOR® serving Waco | Central Texas, helping clients buy + sell residential, acreage, and investment properties. I hold ABR and GRI designations and am brokered by Pecan Creek Realty Group | Bramlett Partners. My background includes a BBA from Baylor University and 7+ years of experience in corporate consulting, including Accenture.
Whether on the mat, outside in nature, or in the community, my goal is simple: to create meaningful experiences that help people feel strong, present, and connected.
Fitness has been part of Rey’s life since he was 12.
What began with weight training at a young age grew into a lifelong passion for movement, sports, and understanding how the body performs and recovers. Rey played soccer, golf, football, and baseball, developing an appreciation for both athletic performance and sustainable fitness.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science & Sports from Texas State University in 2017 and brings more than 10 years of experience in emergency medicine. He is a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR credentials. His background also includes experience as a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym, combining clinical knowledge with hands-on experience in strength and fitness.
Today, Rey serves as a consultant behind the scenes at Asana with Annie, bringing his clinical + fitness background to support the development of movement, strength, and wellness-focused experiences and programs. He contributes expertise in strength + resistance training, HIIT, exercise science, and sustainable fitness practices, helping ensure the experiences we create are thoughtful, effective, and grounded in evidence.
Together, we create experiences that help people move with confidence, build strength, and support their overall wellbeing.
